My friends have been raving about the power pop avantgarde rock trio, Deerhoof for a while now. I listened to some of their albums, and was neither blown away nor turned off. They happened to be in town for a Sunday show at Baltimore's best concert venue, the Ottobar. Now that I have seen them live I get what the fuss is all about. Their drummer beats his 4 piece drum set like a rented mule.
