If you're anything like me you resort to the most depressing music you can find after a bad breakup (or in my case being dumped). It only makes things worse... so why do I keep listening? I think it also forces me to find new songs in search of that one perfect song that will capture the feeling to a T. At the same time I keep listening to "Trapeze Swinger" by Iron and Wine because 1. It might just be the most beautiful song ever written and 2. It reminds me of her, we used to slow dance to it in my room. Maybe I should switch over to angry music and just be an asshole to everyone... do you think that would make me feel better? All I know is I could definitely go see a kick ass concert right now, if I even had any money to begin with.

My Trusted MOGs
Dude, switch over the angry stuff, shave your head, beat up everyone you see and all your problems will vanish.
My Trusted MOGs
I recently got cheated on; do you know how many hate songs there are revolving around bad relationships? And.. a whole lot of slow, sad songs, too. I got into the habit of making playlists for whichever stage of recovery I found myself to be in at the moment.. for example, here's a sample:
1) The "You Done Me Wrong" Playlist: Don't Call Me Peanut, Bayside This Killer, Blackfield Fiction, Matchbook Romance Hemorrhage, Fuel Simple Kind of Life, No Doubt.
2) The "Yeah, Okay.. I'd Probably Take You Back Anyway" Playlist: Answers We'll Never Get, Bayside My Gift of Silence, Blackfield The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot, Brand New All I Ask of You, Phantom of the Opera Accidental Babies, Damien Rice.
3) The "If I Ever See You Again, Watch Your Balls" Playlist: My Fork In Your Road (Your Knife in My Back), Atreyu Human Face: Divine, Norma Jean The Words "Best Friend" Become Redefined, Chiodos You're So Last Summer, Taking Back Sunday Carry On, Bayside.
