I love this period of Earth, Wind & Fire when they had left their "Sweet Sweetback" sound behind them and traded it in for a more r&b latin jazz funk sound on the columbia label. Head to the Sky was the culmination of this before Maurice White recruited Charles Stepney into the musical family and forever defined and changed the sound of this band.
