WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

47 years ago today a plane carrying some great men crashed. Don't forget them or their music.

He influenced such greats as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I believe that The Beatles came up with that name thinking of The Crickets.

That Stones song is clearly a rip off of "Hand Jive" an old blues song! The Beatles, Stones & even Buddy Holly were all inspired & ripped off African American r & b & blues artists. So remember the true inspiration & sources for this music. Sure Buddy is great but there would not be any of these artists w/o the African American musicians who were the true innovators!

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now, lol!

Thanks for reminding us. Weird Macca clip - he's trying to sound just like Buddy. Even weirder, Macca owns Buddy's publishing catalogue. (Or maybe it's a catalog.)

Always caught a buzz off of "Heartbeat" and "That'll Be the Day." And always wondered what he might have done if he had lived. He was so young when he went...

Augusts, yes, we must remember those who influenced him, too.
