WHERE MUSIC IS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY

Alex Turner combines his lyrical prowess with a sexed up, sixties style sound that seems like it should be a Bond theme. Bloke from The Rascals stands on the touchlines....

yeah I dunno if Alex Turner can match Madonna or even his namesake Tina Turner in the Bond song go round - oh who am I kidding anything is better than them... 'Live and Let Die' is untouchable tho...

Yup, it's a pretty pleasant album. Nothing deep or revolutionary, but a nicely diverse mix of influences and a pretty good execution.

Funny msquared64 says that because Amy Winehouse has decamped to the home of producer pal MARK RONSON to work on the Quantum Of Solace title track!!! It's true!

might i ask how/why these "Rascals" would choose such already well used band name?

didn't know about this little project...will have to check it out

this track could rank up there with Sir Tom's "Thunderball"

Yeah. Word came out a few weeks ago about Winehouse doing the Bond theme - if she doesn't implode beforehand. But this Shadow-y thing was right in the pocket. Actually, considering the John Barry-esque sound of Goldfrapp's first album Felt Mountain, I was kinda hoping that Alison G. would've gotten the nod. Ah, well...
