Well, ain't that a kick in the head...

...well, actually no, it was a punch in the face. For no reason. From a complete stranger. Such are the lovely people you meet on Manchester's buses. Still, at least I fared better than Jarvis:

  1. QueenofHell says Awww, you wee doll. Did I tell you about the time I was threatened by a gang of teenage girls who followed me down a side street near where I live? They were very scary. And after reading that a girl was stabbed by a member of another teenage girl-gang yesterday, I'll be even more wary.

  2. Joxley says No, I don't think you;d mentioned that before..there are some very worrying people out there, I know quite a few people (including myself) who've come close to being on the business end of a knife.

  3. SA says Wow, that's too bad, hope you're all right. And good to hear no one has been stabbed yet (and hopefully never will). ;) Me and a friend one time were chased by two guys. We were on bike (as were they), and they slowed down to let us pass. I didn't have a clue and was just talking to my friend, and at the moment we passed them he yelled "Go!" and he started to speed up, so I did the same. I looked back and they were coming after us. There are some crazy people out there. There was this quote by Kele, the singer of Bloc Party, saying: "It's a bit like the first time you are hit full and square in the face. Up until that point, you just don't realise people do that stuff."

  4. chucky says Damn y'all. I've, luckily, never had anything like this happen to me. I do however keep a huge maglite in my car in case of any road rage confrontations. Heh.

  5. Sturgell says Once, in a case of mistaken identity, I was walking home from a friends house and a woman jumped out of a car and pulled a knife on me saying "you mother fucker, you robbed my brother." I stood there obviously shocked, trying to explain to the woman that she's got the wrong guy. Then, in the nick of time, some man in the car said "no, that's not the guy." The woman turned around and got back in car and they sped off. crazy shit. Stuff like this makes me think maybe suburb/country life isn't that bad, after all.
