MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Artist:
Track: I'm in Love With the Girl on the Manchester Virgin Megastore Check-Out Desk
(23)

The Freshies are a rather obscure eighties punk band from Manchester, perhaps more well known for their lead singer's reincarnation as fibre-glass faced comedian Frank Sidebottom. They did however create what should be a timeless classic single amongst music junkies, detailing that infatuation we've all most likely felt towards an alluring music vendor.

As a side note, although the song was originally called I'm in Love With A Girl on the Manchester Virgin Megastore Check-Out Desk but legal action form Richard Branson forced the band to change the title so it referred to a "Certain Manchester Megastore". Furthermore, it remains the longest titled song to ever reach the UK Top 40

Ffs! It was actually promotion! He should have taken legal anal action on himself.

Yup, i have been there. Not the megastore, but a serious crush on the girl behind the desk at my favorite record store. All my friends knew about it. Pretty hilarious song.
