So the clocks have gone back, and this sunday morning we can spend a little longer under the covers. And who better to do it with than the sultry Miss Sinatra?
For me It Ain't Babe is perhaps one of the greatest and most sensitive love songs ever committed to record. The strength of feeling it conveys is incredible, the admission that you are wrong for someone seems like a striking declaration of love, sacrificing your own pleasure to do right by someone. Because sometimes love is about walking away, refusing to chase your own desires for the sake of the other person, to step away from burning that bridge.
Maybe that's just me. All I know for sure is that it makes a damn good song.

Yeah, its a damn fine song. But as a declaration of love.....? Its more of a bitter kiss-off to an overly possessive obssesive
I'm with DMDM for the most part, though I see what you;re saying as well. I always took this song to be a concession that the person you love has an unrealistic - and, in the end, self-centered - set of expectations about love itself, and therefore parting is the only sensible alternative. A perfect teenage love song, in a way. Depending on who's singing it, it can be tender and regretful, angry - or, I'm sorry to say, in the case of Ms. Sinatra, oddly affectless. Is she putting on a mask of uncaringness to hide her depth of feeling? Someone should ask....
here in usa the clocks don't go back for another week. interesting version
What's this "Daylight Savings" thing that makes the nation "fall back" before the "spring formward"?

Jox - might have been worth the wait...He looks like he's squeezing a rubber toy with his left hand. Definitely 'it ain't me babe'!
