    Temptation Of Adam, The - (with Doug Rice/Matt Douglas/Tony Barba/Kirk Knuffke/Sarah Whitney/The Great North Sound Society Orchestra/Ariane Barbanell/Bill Fagley/Joelle Lurie)
It's been racking up the plays for months and now barely I day goes by when I don't listen to it. Hell, it even inspired me to put some of my gig photos into a rather pathetic fan vid. Yup, this is my new favourite song.Disarmingly heartfelt and tender, it take an almost ludicrous scenario and transforms it the most touching love song I've heard. It uses the words we all wish we could say to sum the sort of love we all want to experience. In my eyes at least, there really is nothing that beats it._I think about the Big One, W.W.I.I.I.__Would we ever really care the world had ended?__You could hold me here forever like you're holding me tonight__I think about that great big button and I'm tempted_

  1. satisfiedmind2 says "It uses the words we all wish we could say to sum the sort of love we all want to experience." Mr Ritter has an uncanny way of doing that doesn't he? One of the best songwriters of our generation...are we the same generation? I guess I am 15yrs older than you, so probably not...now I am just rambling

  5. msquared64 says Mr. Ritter, former resident of the shithole in which I currently reside (Somerville, MA)... and not that I'm biased or anything, but I completely agree about this song. Phenomenal. <-- Period.

  6. dermahrk says Josh Ritter is a name that I've seen a hundred times. I may've even heard a track or three, but this really connected. Now I need to investigate further.

  7. Jonh Ingham says I'm a huge fan of the last album but haven't really found the door into the new one. Sometimes it takes another fan to turn the key. Now that you've singled it out I'm in love again.
