WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Hangin' With The Gutter Twins

Posted about 1 year ago
Today I interviewed Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan for the German music magazine Spex. We talked about L.A., spirituality in music, the record business, and most of all about their upcoming cd release as the Gutter Twins. The Gutter Twins cd called Saturnalia will be released Mar. 4 2008 in the U.S. Its a great cd and everyone should buy a copy when it comes out. There was a photographer there and I asked her to take a picture of us on my iphone."Spex Magazine":http://www.spex.de/"Gutter Twins Official Site":http://www.theguttertwins.com/

  1. thill says i like your plaid shirt because without it there is way too much black clothing. "i wear black on the outside coz black is how i feel on the inside." i have always been a big fan of black clothing but with a dog i ended up walking around a lot looking like a homeless person who slept cuddled up with gang of dogs. what would a psychologist say about the body language....... iphone!!! i don't even have a cell phone. 66 is still the sexiest song ever. i don't know why i am a rabbit though. gentlemen is also definitely in my list of top 20 favorite records of all time.

  2. mister gary at work again says I am unbelievably jealous of the fact that you sat between those two gentlemen and had the chance to interview them. As a lingering fan of Dulli and Lanegan, it was practically a religious experience to me just to be in the same room as both of them during a Twilight Singers gig back in '06.

  3. Anna says Ich bin sehr jealous! Is it on line for me to read? Many congrats! And like Mr Gary, I don't think I'd be able to handle such an interview! :)

  4. Josh Haden says @Teresa You can't really tell in the photo but my hat is blue. @Mister Gary Agreed, they are amazing live! @Anna I think the interview will be in the print edition next month, if I hear differently I'll let you know.

  5. poebegone says That interview has got to be one of my top answers to the quintessential question, "Which three people would you invite to dinner?" I am looking forward to reading the interview (online, as the print edition will never reach Phnom Penh) and, equally, buying the album (I am hopeful it will reach neighboring Bangkok). Thanks for good stuff, as always.
