Coffinberry is a band that hails from Cleveland, Ohio. They may come from a city where dreams are usually crushed due to sports teams inability to win when the time comes, but, these guys should not be overlooked. Comprised of brother Nick (guitars/vocals) and Tony Cross (drums/vocals), Pat O’Connor (bass) and Tony Janicek (guitar). The band has just released their third album "God Dam Dogs" on Morphius Records (http://www.morphius.com/index.cfm?cc=itemDetail&id=155100) which only continues to showcase the talented songwriting skills this band possesses. The bands success continues to grow throughout Ohio and its neighboring states. Not to mention that if you should find yourself with the chance, catch their amazing live show. To get a quick introduction to the band, check out this short (8min) documentary on the band (http://jonnylook.com/Coffinberry.mov) Coffinberry has been seen sharing the stage with band such as 'The Furtureheads', 'The Kings Of Leon', 'The Walkmen', among many others. Be sure to check out their website and myspace to catch more of their music. Right now though i will give you just a little taste of what you are missing.

Well I suppose as my first post and this being a music site, I will give all of you a little insight as to what I am listening to currently. Grizzly Bear came out with quite the surprise with "Yellow House". However there was this need for me (as well as many others) to see them live and experience how they could recreate what teased the ears on the cd. I am yet to see them but was lucky enough to find some live clips of them (www.daytrotter.com) and the surprise is well... Incredible! I might go as far as to say the cd translates smoothly to the live show and may even be better. Not to mention that these guys really are just that good. The vox are as beautiful and haunting in reali life as on the cd. So enjoy.
