I'm listening to Rockabye Baby's lullaby tribute to Radiohead right now, and it's making me want to fall asleep. I guess that's the point...but it's not a very inspiring listen.
I am going to play these for my kids 10 or so years from now, though. It's part of my evil plan to control their musical taste as adults. Every night for the first two years after they're born, they'll go to sleep to the sound of Radiohead lullabies. Then I stop, until their 15th birthday, when I give them a copy of OK Computer or The Bends. They listen to it, a switch flips in their brain, the music subconsciously reminds them of the womb, and BAM! they're Radiohead fans for life. It's foolproof.

They will rebel and hate Radiohead forever. Or maybe not: i think it depends on whether or not you can keep it in their subconscious.

I just read about this album--I also think it's a genius concept...it's probably important for parents to be able to play music for the kids that doesn't make them want to jump out the window.

My daughter is almost 5 and she listens to Kid A every night. She listened to Jason Falkener's "Bedtime with the Beatles" for almost 4 years until the CD broke. In a fit of desperation one night, I threw in Kid A for her instead and it's been that ever since. She's progressed to the point now that upon hearing "The Eraser", she commented, "Mama, I love Radiohead!" meaning, she recognizes and equates Thom's voice with the RH.
She also adores The Mars Volta and can sing all the words to "Handshake Drugs" by Wilco. I have the coolest child evah.
