Depeche Mode – Try Walking In My Shoes
-
Artist:
You dream about seeing a band for a few years, you save up your fantasies, then when you get a ticket the singer goes down and they cancel….Just part of the roller coaster thrills when you follow a band whose lead singer was once dead for 20 minutes. Try walking in your shoes? No thank you.
While you wait for the rescheduled gigs to happen - and imagine the rush when they do - here's my favourite band from Basildon (actually, the only band from Basildon) in action on Later…
Details I enjoy:
1. The smile on the drummer at the end when he looks at Dave.
2. Dave's dance moves.
3. Elton John on keys hiding under his Andy Warhol wig? [It is in my universe.]
4. After 20 years of application, you can still be crap at applying mascara.
5. The 'yeahs' from Dave through the solos and how the band responds.
6. They respond by kicking it up another level.
I'm not much of a video watcher but this captivates me. They really kick it.

Wow. Martin really seems to be taking the song hard...
I approached this with great skepticism - had this video not received your seal of approval, I know I wouldn't have bothered. But....you're right......
agreed, that was a great video to watch
never really got into this band
but i'm warming up a bit to em
good video/performance yeah
I see the intensity is there in the performance but for me they don't really do much moving around to keep me interested. Sure they sound great but I prefer when a band moves about the stage more. I need some theatrics with the sound.
And Dave looks like Pee Wee Herman when he dances, hehe. Maybe I'm just in a mood too. I could come back in a few days & think this was the best thing ever, who knows. It's happened before.
Oh you were going, too?? (http://mog.com/Anna/blog/1325219)
I saw it on the telly, top stuff.
He's the best at being crap at applying mascara.
WTF is a telly?
hmmm
Pimp - "Telly": what people in a civilised country call "televison". Dig your new avatar!
Anna - No. I'm still hanging onto my prejudice that watching some very short guys play synths in a shed with 20,000 people somehow lacks. I was thinking of you when I saw this/wrote this. Feeling your pain sis! But, watching this, I may have to adjust my views. :-)
Augusts - Pee Wee Herman...lol!!
ohhhh what we here in the boonies call the "idiot box" :)
i saw this on somebody's site and JUST HAD to have it
thanks
The new p2p - avatar sharing!
