Saw an article in The Guardian yesterday. Apparently he holed himself up in a room for 2 months. If you click on the link on his name in the post, it takes you to a site with 7 of these mashups.

A four part mash up - magic. Bottom left is Bernard Purdie whose CV includes over 3000 albums stretching from Steely Dan to Aretha Franklin

You can see the full clip of Bernard in action here

It really is worth a detour to see him 'splain the Purdie Shuffle and getting some air in the snare

Hendrix was terror for 9th chord it's THAT one from Purple Haze,

That's also George Harrison's special chord in "Taxman," though it was around for a long time before that....

Digging everything you're supplying by this feller....

Mondo......glad you pointed out that it was "Pretty Purdie".  we worked together a lot in the 80's and each time was a situation where i couldn't believe i was getting paid to watch him!

Jonh--thanks for the post.  i'm sure you've seen some of the other nasty shreds that are floating around, but this one rocks!

Mondo - Thanks for the link. It's always been a pleasure to listen to this gentleman. Now I get to watch?!?!

Bill - Thanks. I'm merely the conduit here and proving what the pundits ay about "viral marketing".

Robin - You lead a charmed and wonderful life getting to watch titans like him make music in front of you.
