My Favorite Places

My favorite places this last tour...I really enjoyed the End of the Road Festival in England. I got to make friends with Howe Gelb and Ryan Adams. Lovely people. I have an awesome fan in England, Charlie, who gets me copies of my favorite out-of-print records. Charlie got me a vinyl of that Karen Dalton record, In My Own Time, which has her cover of "Katie Cruel" and "Same Old Man" - beautiful record. Karen Dalton's In My Own Time.And he also got me a copy of the most influential record of my teenage years, "Me So Twangy" by Twang Twang Shock-Ah Boom, the band fronted by David Garza. Thank you.     RobP says I guess I need some fans. That and the Howe Gelb connection, since I own a couple of my favorite Giant Sand albums on cassette only. By the way, Jolie, I notice you have a Garth Steel Klippert song mentioned on yr page - my Garth album disappeared, and now I'm reminded I should try to replace it, and I think I can get hold of Garth, so thanks.
