My favorite female singer/songwriter/composer - Joanna Newsom

That's write, I do not have any doubt: Joanna Newsom is the most interesting female artist from the beggining of the 21st century! As an incredible singer, amzing harp player and an orignal and inovative composer, she has all the qualities for her name to live on many decades and, for me in particular, genarations. My sons will certainly hear her work!And there sons too!She's young and talented, I'm really gonna watch out her carreer closely.This is Joanna performing "Monkey & Bear" with her band.

    Wanbli says I already drank the Kool-Aid. I have had the extreme pleasure of seeing Joanna live 1/2 a dozen times and have around 20+ live bootlegs - and just about any and every cover version of her songs. You can check my many, many Joanna MOG postings. My introduction to her was 3.5 years ago opening up a benefit concert for Neil Young in Berkeley. I had no idea who she was or what she would sound like...and you had to pick my jaw up off the floor after her set. <3 me some Joanna!
