Weekly Repeater

This week's repeater comes from an Icelandic band. This song has a "throw-back" feel that reminds me of the Turtles' "So Happy Together". I, honestly, know very little of the band, but their album "My Delusions" is on my short list of favorites.

This week's repeater comes from a band with a rocky past. The band formed in the early 80's and has had in the neighborhood of 5 or so lead singers. They have switched genres from punk to metal and have allowed other influences in along the way. The album "Blind" (where this week's repeater comes from) is a love-it or hate-it album with most die-hard fans of the band. Many feel that, out of...

This weeks repeater comes from a UK band that died WAY too soon. This song is gripping from opening note to the screaming vocals on the chorus to the very end. Their split was announced on their Myspace page on May 15 of last year stating they feel they had done all they could with their music. I disagree. This song from their Have Gun Will Travel EP speaks volumes of their talent and shows th

My weekly repeater for this week is a little out of the ordinary. I'm normally not that big on hip-hop, but this is an old hip-hop group that I came upon in my bro's cd collection. I just recently ran across it and had to pick it up for old time sake. It has a laid back feeling that kinda reminds you of sittin on the stoop....whatever that means. lol. I just like the groove in the track. Last

My Repeater for the Week

I know it's early, but this song caught my ear already. You'll understand why when you hear it. The drums drive the guitar melody right into your psyche. The rounding vocals are unrelenting in the chorus, begging:Don't do this man. There's another one off behindBreaking down the door withoutWarning. The vocals compliment the guitar riff and follow blindly at the risk of being too....infectious.

Reunion

According to Yahoo!, the fab five from the late 80's/early 90's could be reuniting. The buzz comes from sudden activity on their website encouraging fans to await an announcement. People Magazine reports that a reunion seems to be in the works. It's hard to believe it's been 14 years since the break-up.What do you guys think, if anything, about the reunion?

Sad song

I heard a song on the radio the other day that spoke to me. I'm sure we've all felt like this at a time in our lives. Just caught me at a strange moment. It's an old song that I haven't heard in a while. Maybe it suits you/your situation right now.

This song is so awesome. It just seems to flow. It mixes Radiohead and Marvin Gaye. Check it out and respond with your thoughts. If you've never heard it, no better time than the present.
