In my life

There is no such thing as God, or indeed a Lord - but the guitar solo on this beautiful piece of music was inspired by the illusion that there is, so who cares?

  2. LadyC says john mclaughin is one of my favourite guitarists next to john zorn, the name didn't ring a bell but thank you for the info. i saw his shakti tour in a beautiful venue/festival in vienne, france (a famous jazz fest) as the sun set behind the roman amphitheatre.

  6. JimGardner1973 says I'm absolutely certain you have McLaughlin mixed up with someone else, Lowdown. He's done his fair share of following various spiritual teachings, but I'll show my arse in Wal-Mart's window if he's ever done the devil thing.

  13. disappear says here pictured are probably my two favorite guitarists ever. john mclaughlin and santana really were soo far ahead of their time. now what happened to carlos' stunning guitar playing from that era?? not that his new playing isnt great- he's not challenging himself and seems to have subjected himself to recording with nickelback and other various clear channel crap artists.
