Manu Chao is at the Greek in Berkeley tonight! The show is sold out, but I'm considering walking up there to check out the scalper rate. I mean, after all, it is Manu Chao.If you haven't had a chance to hear any of his music, I highly recommend Clandestino: Esperando La Ultima Ola. I don't know if this is his first solo album post-Mano Negra, but I know it was released in 1998 or so. And it is a gem to be sure: septilingual Spanish-influenced pop dub! And it's genius! How can you go wrong!If you're still not convinced, you can likely find a sample or two at his website...

    max says nothing here...80 was the leats i could find, and frankely after 20 minutes of the gates opening you couldn't get a half way decent spot to enjoy the show..hope you had better luck than me on this one jess

    Jess Horrible says nope! total bust. DAMN. the worst part was later than night, when i was wandering through campus and i could hear it bouncing off the walls of those hallowed halls... it sounded gorgeous.

    suitejane says I first heard Manu Chao 4 or 5 years ago. I work in surgery and one of the anesthesiologists went to Amsterdam and came back with this CD. Anyway we loved it and pissed off a bunch of surgeons with it because at this particular hospital the anesthesiologist was in charge of the music. So thank u Dr. Daly wherever you are!
