Cause I do have several stories to tell and good music to recommend. So maybe, maybe I'll be back.
So, life's been especially good to me lately. Remember how I said that my ex got back in contact with me? Yeah, we're dating again. It's a long story, but I'm very happy and so far, he's got a spotless record (he bought me a rice krispie treat after I mentioned I wanted one and delivered it to my house, how awesome is he?) Anyway, I have a point to make.
On what was our first date (didn't really start out that way, but it was), I wanted to buy a CD and (because it was the cheapest) picked up Hellogoodbye's Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! Best CD purchase I have made in a long time. Not only is the album title really fun to say (go on, do it, it's so fun) but the music is great. Not for everyone, I admit, but just so enjoyable. I've been unable to listen to anything else. This album has made my bus rides bearable (and that says a lot, I hate riding the bus).
I highly recommend the songs Here (in Your Arms), Touchdown Turnaround (Don't Give Up On Me) and I Saw it On Your Keyboard. They're pure ear candy. But then again, I think the whole damn album is perfect.
(Oh, and speaking of Here (in Your Arms). I've got my boyfriend hooked on this song, it makes us think of each other. We are so adorable, your teeth rot just looking at us.)
Moggers, you were totally right. I do need the Black Keys more than I know. Now, here's this thing, my budget is still limited and I don't want to splurge on the wrong album.
So, whaddaya say Moggers, what's the best Black Keys album?
(Oh, and concerning the ex who I told you about last post. So far, we are conversing easily and we might be hanging out soon (he goes to school about 5 minutes from my house). Wish me luck.)
