A friend gave me a copy of My Chemical Romance's latest, The Black Parade. There's been quite a bit of hoopla about the band and the album everywhere. Being open-minded, I gave it a listen. It's not horrible, but it is terribly slick and just a wee bit overproduced. And just look at them...they really are too cute and precious to think they are so angsty.
If I were fifteen I'd be drooling. Instead I find myself wondering what brand of eye make-up they use.*sigh* Perhaps if they put their angst-ridden lyrics to less pop-y music I could get into it a little more. Just not my cup of tea, perhaps.
