I promise I'm not dead

Posted almost 3 years ago

I only got a full-time job, which is debateable about the not being dead part, I suppose.

On the up side, my job entails working with the events industry in Chicago. I have to go to parties and such as part of my job. I know, it's horrible. But I'll do it as I must to ekk out a living in these trying times.

I was able to take in a free (Happy 60th birthday, Puma!) show at Metro a while back. The headliner was The Bravery. According to the lead singer, they hadn't performed together for a very long time. Perhaps he let us know in case they sucked? All in all, it was a pretty good show and there was a huge variety of people in attendance. Everything from Chavs in tracksuits and sneakers to hipsters in painfully tight jeans and t-shirts to men in Armani suits with scantily clad women dangling from their arm.

Hello! Grats on your new {?} job. I like The Bravery, but I've never had a chance to see them live. When that happens, if the crowd is like the crowd at your show, I might get distracted by observing the different species :)
