I only got a full-time job, which is debateable about the not being dead part, I suppose. On the up side, my job entails working with the events industry in Chicago. I have to go to parties and such as part of my job. I know, it's horrible. But I'll do it as I must to ekk out a living in these trying times. Golux13 and I went to the Wire show at Metro last month (yay!). While the show was quality, the duration was sadly lacking. With doors at 9pm and an opening band one might expect to still be enjoying live music at, say, 12:30 am. Chicago was, evidently, the last stop on the tour. The crowd was stupifyingly sedare. Another show I'm not seeing. Definitely not a trend of which I am a fan, that's for certain.Sons and Daughters played tonight at The Double Door. A raucous band at a really fun venue. If you went please don't tell me. Actually, I would love to hear it was a fantastic show and the band was incredible. Maybe that way they'll come back so I can see them.
