Ben Kweller's last full length "On My Way" was a total breakout, we all agree, or at least we better. Ben's new self titled album proves it was because after "On My Way" he seems to have quite a bit more production involved in the album. For the first time though Kweller plays all the instruments so you can't negate his musical ability one iota and his lyrical prowess is still amazing. He's currently touring and I just missed his Washington, DC date and I'm bitter. There are, however, rumors that The Bens may reunite for another EP and maybe even a tour, US tour I should hope... Enjoy.
Against Me! Hard call... New album coming out. I didn't particularly care for the last one, Searching for a Former Clarity, but As the Eternal Cowboy is one of the greatest albums of my oh so tenuously formative high school years. After I first heard that album I ate up everything that was Against Me! Am I an idiot? Did I just not give Searching for a Former Clarity a fair chance? Or is (folk) punk dead? This song is from when it was most certainly alive...

Well, the people on the radio have been talking about it and giving it good reviews, so hopefully you'll like it better this time around.
No, "Searching..." sucked. Save for a couple good ones, it blows. And I have no idea what to expect from the next one.
I was in a blur of my best friends, attractive girls, and an obscene amount of homosexuals last night when this song came on and I realized, "This song summarizes my strife." I mean, that's pretty much the struggle of R&B. It's the struggle to get tasty beverages to your mouth.
