Are there ANY good holiday soundtracks/CD's out there? There is a general stereotype that all holiday themed CD's are cheesy. Was wondering if anyone could prove that wrong?

Recently I have been on a quest to expand my repetoire of music artists. Out of the most unlikely place, the movie theatre, I have been exposed to some wonderful new artists. So I bought some CD's once I heard them on the Snakes On A Plane soundtrack.

I must say I'm so ecstatic because I'm 100% pleased with ALL these selections. This music is such a fresh sound to my ears, which have been bleeding and oozing after listening to all the same old SHIT on the radio!

Mmm, Diana Krall's _Christmas Songs_, for sure- cheesy she is not :) Aimee Mann just released a holiday record last month which I haven't heard yet but it's a safe bet she won't go the usual route with the tunes.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Cheesy? Maybe.. but awesome nonetheless.
P.S. You're from Gainesville eh? I used to love this hardcore band from there called AssholeParade. I don't think they're around anymore, but I could be wrong.
Whatever you do make sure you listen to Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas" nothing makes me feel more in the holiday spirit...
