Robert Johnson

Hey y'all. In this month's "Vanity Fair", there is a captivating article about Blues singer Robert Johnson. You may have heard the lore: a man meets the devil by train tracks at midnight in order to barter his soul for supernatural talents. That story follows Johnson, outlines his life. He *did* have exquisite talents that influenced Dylan, Eric Clapton and many, many others. (For some reason, he influenced a lot more Brits earlier than American musicians...)
I just bought a two-disc compilation of Johnson's music. If you get a chance, listen to his music and check out the VF article. Both are extremely worth it.
Take care,
j.
