There seems to be a bit of a Jon theme happening in music these days. First it was Mr. Bon Jovi. Then it was my pal Jonathan Hape. (See a few posts down.)Now I've got a new and dazzling Jon for you: my good buddy Jon Bolden. The first thing you should know about Jon is that he was the founder of the Independent Musician's Club! That's right. The club that I now run. The club which enables me to bring so many great bands to such a small community. The club that will one day rule the world. And it all started with a Jon. He's opened for some big bands such as The Evan Anthem and Blessed Union of Souls. And it's no wonder considering Jon is whiz with the ol' six string. His music and especially his live show will have you instantaneously tapping your feet and rolling on the floor laughing.Beyond being simply humorous, Jon has began exploring some darker topics such as social acceptance and depression. He's incredibly prolific. As far as I can remember he put out a new full length album each of the three years I was in college with him.
