YOU CAN'T NOT GET NO SATISFACTION

The Simpsons and my music

Posted over 2 years ago
So today I'm watching the Simpsons, in particular, the old episode where Homer bowls a perfect game and becomes a celebrity, I'm sitting there just watching the episode with no particular thought in mind, and suddenly I hear The Doors' song "The End", I wouldn't have known the name of the song except for the fact that I have my caption turned on on my TV, the episode ends and I hurry immediately to my PC, and after a few minutes I'm listening to this song, I can't go but thinking, 'man these guys always put on the coolest music on their show', just the other day I heard Kansas' Dust in the Wind, so my question is, have any of you out there watching the simpsons just hear an awesome song that afterwards they just have to have?

  1. Bwentman says The Simpsons have always had the best pop-culture references. Up until a few years ago, that is. I think that happened to me once, on the episode where Misses Bouvier almost marries Mr. Burns, but Abe stops it. It mirrors the Graduate in the end and even boasts a parody of "The Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel. After that I just had to go out and listen to the Graduate soundtrack to get my fix.
