So here I was walking down memory lane (again!) when I decided to look up Cyndi Lauper's website. I'd been there before and had absolutely loved the finally blossomed sound, but I'd never looked at all the videos. Or maybe this one wasn't there last time I went.

"The World is Stone" is an original song by Luc Plamondon and Michel Berger (titled "Le Monde est Stone"), performed by my compatriot Céline Dion on the album "Dion Chante Plamondon", one of my favorite Dion albums ever.

Listen to Céline's original song in Real Media format or in Wav format (In case those don't work, find the links yourself by going to the website yourself. Now listen to (and watch) Cyndi.

I think Cyndi does it justice.

Thanks for reading.

Artist: Track: Here Comes The Rain Again - (previously unreleased, live)

"I Am" (aka Chris) has been reminiscing lately, which has inspired me a little, too. I'm a child of the 80's, while my husband is a military brat of the 60's. His tastes are very eclectic and specific. I wish he were the type to blog at all, I guarantee he'd turn people on to music (new and old) that they'd never heard before.
Anyway, my point is I don't get to listen to the music I like. When I do get a chance, I'll turn on Majic 102.9, a local station that has the benefit of playing music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Sometimes, it makes me nostalgic. that's the closest I can come to tying in I Am's nostalgia. :)
Moving right along, today's rains reminded me of the Eurythmics. Annie Lennox had ans till has one of the sexiest, most powerful voices in pop music. Pop nothing, the lyrics on all her songs are simply beautiful works of art.
So, in honor of this rainy day, I give you "Here Comes the Rain Again". Why not? It's just perfect. :)

Edit: I found the link to it on You Tube. Unfortunately embedding was disabled by request, so if you want to hear and see it, you'll have to Click Here.

Well yeah, but you gotta post the track. Nostalgia is nice, but sometimes its a tarp thrown over emotional tar pits.

Artist: Tainn Track: The Heart Song

The Musical Stylings of Tainn.

Before you listen, this is my 5 year old daughter. She's been improvising songs for a while. Note that she has zero musical training in any sense that could be called "formal". Her lyrics are always "subject to review", but this is probably her best effort to date. Enjoy!
