Way, way back in the early '90s, to hype a metal band signed to Disney's Hollywood Records, the PR folks sent out plastic bongs to music critics. It didn't do much for the band, now not even a footnote in the History of Rock.But that plastic bong, which sat on my shelf (never used I must add), for many years came to mind when I got wind of this contest that Ecstatic Peace and Turbo Fruits are holding. The prize: "a genuine Storz & Bickel VOLCANO vaporizer."Or, to put it in language we can all understand: the so-called "BMW of bongs"The prize.These Turbo Fruits guys have a song on their debut album called "Volcano," in which they repeat the word "volcano" many times. The contest has something to do with counting how many times they say "volcano." Yeah, it is ridiculous.
