  3. nicki says Very nice. Bizarre question: I see you're looking for a singer. If a woman seemed to fit your requirements, would you hire her? Or would a female vocalist push your band into the "chick singer" niche (eg Evanescence)? And no, I'm not asking for myself or anyone else. I'm just wondering if it's possible that a female metal vocalist could make you (almost) forget she's a chick.

  4. Issues says Actually, it's not a bizarre question nor is it out of the question either. The last band I was in was fronted by a female. We recorded about 4 or 5 of the .issues. tracks in the band, but unfortunately the vox were less than stellar. Ideally, if it were a female, I would want someone who is somewhere in the vein of Shirley Manson from Garbage, Toni Halliday from Curve, Lacey Mosely from Flyleaf or Peaches. I definitely want someone who can sing and scream, but usually I always end up finding one without the other. BTW, I've definitely heard women sing metal that made me forget they were female. Unfortunately they're always in another band! LOL!

  14. Issues says Actually I don't have a band. I do everything myself with the exception of singing which I can't do to save my life. LOL! Anywayz I have a few vocalists lined up to hopefully add to my finished tracks and as they say if the magic works, then hopefully a band will come out of it.

  15. roxygirl3jd says WOW really I never met a one man band before pretty awesome! lol. well, good luck on finding a singer! I would help you out but I have major stage fright and I kinda am afraid to sing infront of others, even in my car! (pathetic I know) :0)

  16. Anonymous says I may be a little late... but as far as females going the metal route, you all should look into Mankind is Obsolete. I'd rate that girl one step higher than Shirley Manson.
