So I watched this tonight

and this a couple of nights ago

both flicks that have something to do with music, and record shops, can any one think of any more films with the Record Shop as an important element, setting or whatever....

chucky says Thanks to other moggers who I can't remember now, I watched Pretty in Pink the other day for the 40 millionth time. The record shop isn't as central as it is in the two you gave, but it is a regular setting in the movie. That's all I got.

Iren says I was going to say something about Pretty in Pink (which I own on DVD, and used to love)... but in the last year or so my understanding of the John Huges teen film cannon has changed to the point that all I see in PiP is the push to sell out and become a yuppie (cause that's all that makes the Anne Potts happy in the film)... Even the Breakfast Club is basically... don't worry, cause the Princesses will save the Thug, the Jock will save the arty/basketcase and the geeks (me...) will get to not get the crap beat out of us, as long as we do everyones homework........
