The Flaming Sideburns

"The Flaming Sideburns":www.theflamingsideburns.com from Helsinki Finland have emerged as the unlikely leaders of the Nordic Hi Energy Rock'n'Roll Scene. If you we to have Little Richard (in his 50's prime), Roky Erickson, fronting "The Hurriganes":http://www.myspace.com/hurriganesfan (A Finish hardrock group from the 1970's and 1980's) or "The Waliers":http://www.thefabulouswailers.com/ (and we are talking the Tacoma band here), throw in some Stooges and MC5, and you have The Flaming Sideburns. They have also, as with Gluecifer before them, tried new things and changed over time.... but their latest album 'Keys to the Highway' has been a return to the Kick out the Jams sound of their past. I know that I have written about the Sideburns recently, as I had my first chance to see them live in Sept of this year, and they were amazing. I know that you kids seem to dig the video action so here are a couple of Sideburns clips...If you want to check out the band, I highly suggest trying to find their Save Rock and Roll record which came out on Jet Set Records in the states a few years back.Really there isn't all that much more to say, The Flaming Sideburns kick it out, and are still standing today...
