Artist:
There are a few bands, and I really mean a few that leave a cult stamp on the world... off the top I think of Kiss and their Kiss Army and The Misfits with their Fiend Club... and then there is the darkest glam deathpunk band ever to fall out of Oslo Norway... "Turbonegro":http://www.turbonegro.com/, with the Turbojugend (which is pronounced Tubo-U-gun-day)...
I first heard about the masters of the dorkness in the late 1990's when Jake Starr a Fellow followers off the Nordic Hi Energy scene played their album Apocalypse Dudes for me. I wasn't instantly hooked, but a couple of listens and I had to get a copy. Simply Turbonegro started off as a noisey punk group, and have evolved into the masters of Silly,Dark, Un-PC Deathpunk (their tag not mine)... mixing: Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Venom, Radio Birdman, and The Stooges into a mix of pure sleaze rock... and then they went POP, and broke up.. only to reform a few years later, offering more of the same, but becoming more and more of a cartoon of what they had been... If you want all the gruesome facts you have: Their Website (linked above), "myspace":http://wwww.myspace.com/turbonegro and their "wiki page":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbonegro. These sites allow you to hear some music, read some history and all about the fake gay act, the denim and of course the "Turbojugend":http://www.turbojugend.net... rather than take up more space with words... are you ready for some Darkness?Tomorrow: "The Flaming Sideburns":http://www.theflamingsideburns.com/
