Missy Higgins - Number One Artist Australia coming to an town near you

Caught Missy for the 2nd time. First time in Sydney, AU when she was touring after her debut album. She has grown and matured in her music so much. I was fortunate to catch her at a record store before she played tonight in Portland. She did it to promote local record store sales. Saw her the minute she walked in the door and said hello and got a few minutes with her while the band was setting up. She is really down to earth and cool. I got our picture together and a signed CD jacket. SHe is appearntly living in LA with her record lable, Warner Bros. she has definitely hit stateside with a vengenance. I know she will soon be headlining big shows. Just glad I met her early on and am really stoked about meeting up with her and the time i got to spend with her today. Enjoy mates!

Been a while since I posted, have really enjoyed the Moggers post, I guess I have been feeding more from you.. thanks, i am on here too much and love it too much.. LOL

Ok, so I caught this band about a year ago on Youtube or somewhere and loved every song. But their videos were strange at best. The best one was a live video of them at a show. I think this one is their first really good video.. very good! Hope you enjoy! It was posted one day a couple of weeks ago but was taken off ( Youtube infringe???) Anywhoo, now its on again, watch quickly.. tee hee!

Chris Stills, up and coming artist

Love his voice, his father from the famous Crosby Stills Nash and Young. His mom a French woman, he grew up both in LA and Paris. Speaks and sings fluently in both English and French. Love this song and another one called Landslide. First decent video of him I have seen on Youtube so far. Not as much passion as he does on the CD version of this song but its still the best I've seen. I can relate to the lyrics in my life now, especially as I have had personal change in circumstance as of recently. Thanks Moggers for making my life better, have not posted in awhile but I rely on your daily infusion, Peace Love and Happiness to you all this New Year! Woot!

This is a new southern California band that really caught my ear when I was visiting the HOUSE OF BLUES in Anahiem. Had the opportunity to meet the lead singer after his gig as I was sitting where all the promoters were in the VIP section. He's a great kid, this band definitely has the potental to go far.

Saw this today on the Yahoo Nine. These are incredible scenes down the streets of New York following the bike messengers across town, amazing risk taking here... Any band with the word "balls" in its name should be, well, ballsy, and one-of-a-kind torch singer Storm Large and her three-man backing band the Balls don't disappoint. The commanding, 6-foot blond vixen cleverly twists rock and heavy-metal hits, American classics and everything in between into absurd and poignant renditions best described as loungecore. In Storm's world, Abba and Iron Butterfly coexist harmoniously in "Abba-Gadda-Davida," and it's perfectly normal to revisit Metallica, the Cramps and "The Star-Spangled Banner" in one raucous evening. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Storm's Balls consist of skilled ex-members of Everclear and Motherload.

I was fortunate to catch a gig of theirs in Balmain a burb of Sydney this last year, this band can rok!

Critically acclaimed and multi-award winning pop-rock band Eskimo Joe burst onto the Aussie music scene in mid 1998 with their cheeky debut single 'Sweater'. Since then, the boys have enjoyed platinum album sales, sold-out tours, and high rotation on Australian radio, particularly Triple J. Say Xavier Rudd and Brett at the Aladdin this year, went back for more when Brett did his own gig a couple of months again downtown. Love this vocals. The concert wasn't as good because the band overplayed his vocals.. but enjoy this one on here. Is there really any reason?

Ian Brown was the singer for the Stone Roses, the glorious and seminal Manchester band who dropped the ball so hard that a bottomless pit of nasal-toned clones was soon born. The simian Mancunian has emerged with a solo career that balances stupid and clever on a scale where the weight is unfortunately tipped a bit on the former. While his voice still carries the whispery inflections and cool, vibey attitudes that make you want to pull your sleeves over your hands, it's obvious that his brilliance shines brightest in collaboration. His songs are catchy, but they fail to deliver the same heartfelt triumphs of life and love as they did in the past. Where he once sung lyrics like "She stands on shifting sands / The scales held in her hands," he now sings, "The dolphins were monkeys that didn't like the land." Oh, and he does a wonderfully novel cover of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." Great to listen to while you're waiting for the other three Stone Roses to leave their powders and pride on the back burner to give their fans what they really want: a reunion.
