We have had a great fall here in Portland with brilliant Fall colors. Rains are returning and the night is quiet except the sound of puddles and raindrops falling upon them. I love Ane's intimate expression highlighting the changing of seasons.

very melancholy, but nice. I'm not one to jump for joy at this time of year. the colors are nice, but they signify the death of summer, of warmth. time to hunker down and wait out old man winter, ugh Somebody see my drink?
I agree, on the surface, it seems a downer, sometimes the most productive months for me are when I am trying to stay warm. :0)

Ardy- Wind is a factor, big time! I don't like it when we get the east Gorge winds in the winter, chilliing! I'll take the westerly with the pacific rains over that even if it means NO SUN!
