Hey MOGgers, this is a rare opportunity to see an amazing Documentary of the 1960s band The Love. It is a story of a band but even more the story of an era. In many ways its follows the grass roots of a movement, the 60's, where LOVE ruled the streets of Hollywood. This documentary is packed full of great interviews, footage, and unique inside stories from many famous people today- John Densmore, (The Doors), Jac Hotzman, (CEO Elekra Records),
Jac Hotzman's story of how Bob Dylan turned him on to eclectric sound from Dylans' Newport Folk Festival gig, and how it led him to a band called The LOVE's unique sound, its just classic! Do yourself a favor and spend some time listening to this story. I know I'm glad I did!

Finished all 10 chapters, obsorbed it like a sponge. This, The, The LOVE, is such a cool story. Its up for a week on Ptichfork but I see some of it has been captured on YOUTUBE. I really like the HQ format of this site, it put me right in the car with Anthur Lee driving down the famous streets of LA, recounting the steps (literally) it took him from West LA poor mans' land to the mansions of Hollywood and Capital Records. I loved the Castle in Chapter 7 I believe.. Arthur takes a walk through the mansion the band called home duirng the time period they were THE band. It was before Elektra had discovered The Doors. In fact the Doors and The Love were good friends. Jac, the CEO of Elekra, was introduced to the Doors by Arthur Less one night at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood. Jac, as he admits, didn't think much of them that night but with encouragement from Arthur of the LOVE, he wwent back again and again that week to hear them and then, as he said, "it all came together" and the Doors were born! But there was still The LOVE best and final effort to be bron. Don't miss this one! Great Story!!
