In a nutshell- Pearl Jam playing the last 4 nights at the legendary spectrum. I made it to the last two!- The Phillies playing a world series game on Saturday (Halloween) across the street from the Spectrum.- Epic...crazy...insane...SO worth it, still can't put it into words. Not even getting sick there or that there was little brotherly love in the city put a damper on the weekend.- Sad to see...

I just discovered this band while listening to a podcast of Sound Opinions, and I had to go out and get it right away.Death is a band from the Detroit area who released a single or two in 1975 during the MC5, Stooges era then dissapeared for whatever reason. This is fast, funky, and punky. Check out my fave song, 'Politicians In My Eyes'. They also share a name with a metal band so be careful.

Monday night I saw the 3rd of 3 Hip shows at the NAC in Ottawa. I was able to snag a 6th row seat a few months ago when they went on sale, so I was excited to finally see them in a venue where I could get this close. I've seen the Hip before at festivals and couldn't get anywhere close, plus having to deal with their drunken jock fans who need to high-five and point while they sing. Anyways...i...
