WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

It's time...

...for me to buy some cds. My ipod has been filling up a lot lately b/c of mog, so I need to free some space. I'm going to get Let it Die- Leslie Feist and one of the following:Begin to Hope- Rgeina SpektorPlay- MobyGigi SoundtrackThe Living Road- LhasaAir Farina- Mark FarinaGet Away From Me- Nellie McKayThe Eraser- Thom YorkeThe Milk-eyed Blender- Joanna NewsomPlans- Death Cab for CutieAnd now for something completely different:I just found the Dresden Dolls and Joanna Newsom today on last.fm. It said they were similar to Regina Spektor. I like the playfulness of Missed Me and Coin-Operated Boy. Newsom's songs seem improvised and her voice is childish in a good way.

  1. Anonymous says The Dresden Dolls kick ass and so does Begin to Hope by Regina Spektor. I like Honey by Moby of the Play CD. The Thom Yorke CD is good too. Sorry, I have all these...don't have any of the rest you mentioned.

  2. Parker catalano says I would have to recommed the Eraser as I'm sure has already been done. But seriously I just got it off of one of my friends, but I'm still going to buy the actual cd.

  3. Spencer Owen says Boy, I remember when Play came out. I have to give that record props for being utterly unique when it was released. (Watch as someone proves me wrong.)

  6. pasteque says Youuuuuuuu...... Should get Begin to Hope. Because it's a good album. (Not that the others aren't...) Also, if you want to listen to more Dresden Dolls, I'd recommend Backstabber (my favourite song, off their new album) for an angry-yet-energetic song, Delilah (also from the new album) for more of a subdued, depressed feel, and sing (also from new album.... aaaaaa!), just because... well.... because it's a cool song, and no one listens to it.
