Not sure what I'm doing here. Maybe trying to find like-minded souls who appreciate "Americana" or "Roots Rock" or whatever the industry and No Depression are trying to tag it these days. Not into the old timey stuff too much though I do like Gillian and Dave.

I've followed Chris Whitley since Living With the Law which he reportedly hated. And yet it's in my desert island list. Lanois delivered him into the world and despite stumbling a few times, was always the explorer, the edge-pusher. "Dirt Floor" is another brilliant outing as well. "Dislocation Blues" is a worthy end-piece. Good night, Chris......
