I have a video, It 390 megs. I want to get the file size down to something more Youtube friendly. I shot this with a Sony camera. It's in MPG format.
Does anyone have a link to free software I could use that is easy and relatively quick?

Henry, I use both. Win. Movie Maker tends to drop frames. I want to keep as much as I can. My target is 150 megs.

DivX has some free compression software, but you might want to try the QuickTime Pro package, its not that expensive, and it has automated web optimization routines - their lossy of course, but you'll still have some clarity.
Let me know how it works out... I can hunt down some more suggestions if this doesn't cut it...

Have you tried uping it to YouTube, I know they convert my MPG's to flash video, it just takes a little longer for the bigger ones.
