MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

(49)

The paperwork is ridiculously easy to fill out. I meet the requirements as laid out in the Constitution. So, Why not?

Actually I was going to try to get on the write in ballot for New York, New Jersey, and of course Pennsylvania.

My thinking is, what better way to understand the process than to go though it myself. I could campaign on MOG.

Just think, you guys can say you know a Pres. candidate and it will look good next to my letter of ordination.

Looks like I found a campaign manager.

I think my platform will be to stop frivolous lawsuits against music lovers and to rework the FCC.

You seem pretty lucid. How ya been?

For campaign music, I'm thinking you could put "Come Together" to its original purpose... Or "Consider Yourself" from Oliver!; that has a very populist feel...

I'd vote for you simply because you have Tuxedomoon in your iTunes, but scientists have proven that if you ever vote for any candidate but the democrat in a presidential election, you go to Hell when you die...

I heard that too Z.

Did you fix your uploading probs.?

I asked a friend if he was ready to throw away his vote.

Did you know the apps themselves cost 3 large? I applied for the waiver.

Chris Heilman on Nov 4th.

So you a fan of the Residents also? Renaldo and the Loaf?

| Permalink

Uploading problem solved. That "Audacity" software is pretty cool, too. Do drop by my mog and give that song a listen if you have time. It's dying on stage...

I'd no idea that it costs three large to sign up to run for president, but then again I'm not really sure how much a "large" is...

I like Meet The Residents a lot, but most of the rest of their stuff after that just sounds like demented children's records to me... Renaldo and the Loaf I don't much care for, but I quite like Snakefinger... I don't think Tuxedomoon ever really belonged on Ralph Records. If they'd been marketed properly, they could have had a hit or two...

"Come Together?" Who sang that Paul? Had to learn "Yesterday," twice in my life. Once in my youth, once as an adult...Thats a tough one to get down as far as reading the sheet music. John sang that one, key of F if I remember think we sang it in G...

Posted
| Permalink

Actually, "Come Together" was sung by John and "Yesterday" was sung by Paul. But you have its key right - F major. On first listen, it sounds like a minor key, though, doesn't it?

The reason I brought up "Come Together" as a campaign song was that it was written specifically for that purpose - Timothy Leary started a campaign in 1969 to become Governor of California, and John provided the (not exactly rousing) music (its original lyrics were "Come together /Join the party").

I am, I missed that you are ordained, will you share what you were ordained to? (I may be really setting myself up with this one...)

I am says:

dar, that is a topic for another post. I'll offer this till then;

"Ignorance of the Law is no excuse."

Regardless of the constraints we feel on our Liberty, you can still find freedoms worth exploring. Religion is one of them.

Check this out;

and;

As you can see there is a lot to consider.

There is Supreme Court backing (through precedent) that supports online ordination.

I have my certificate and now I am testing the limits of the Law. So far Penna. doesn't recognize me to do marriages, but I am working on it.

Also, I would like to add this to the list of required reading;

http://www.lectlaw.com/files/con18.htm

If you have never read a Supreme Court brief, your in for a thrill.

I dig their reasoning.
