Another Mogger down.
This time it's lucystarlight.
Jazz has been a how should I say ... an enduring sancuary for me and my many moods. Playful and devilish, summer rain happy, you want to get a smoke blue, and just plain stupid goofy, what ever I am feeling Jazz has a song for me.
In the genre of Jazz I would say, hands down, bebop has that range covered very well. For me, bebop is just ... more expressive. Swing, rag (in particular, stride), ballads, and standards have their moments. It's just.. bebop is when they literally said, "Fuck it, there are no rules, let's play."
This track, in the sub genre of bebop, comes from one of the fathers of bebop, Dizzy Gillespie. "Umbrella Man" is devilish, summer rain, smoke blue, stupid goofy all at the same time. It's ..it's like the one two punch.
Enjoy. Hope things go your way lucy.

Indeed, it seems I have not known Lucy long enough and I hope that she is able to land on her feet. She always seems to do that though, she is kind of special that way

Thanks Bartleby, That was great. After that vid was finished I found this one.
I will get back to posting about Jazz more often I think.
There is so much I want to say about Bird and Dizz, but honestly words fail the meaning they convey. In the end you just have to listen. Listen and weep.
