Switching gears here ...

Originality I was going to post a funk nugget, cause I could wait until Friday to get one out. Just as I was ready to hit the upload button, this composition started to play on my player.I checked to see if any other Mogger had uploaded any other Ken Nordine pieces. Turns out Fistula beat me to the punch (damn him and his eclectic tastes and, Yeah, the Weird Wars are on baby). Check it out. Fist has great links in his post that I won't bother rehashing. I used to listen to "Word Jazz" on WMUH outta Allentown. I went so far as to .... gulp .... recorded it off of the radio. Sorry, BMI/ASCAP my licensing check is in the mail. I swear it is. Anyway 3 great days of weather here in the Commonwealth, the sound of bats hitting balls at the little league fields close by, and my thoughts turn to summer and ... you guessed it Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66. I'm currently digitizing "Equinox". Should have something up soon.Hey! Enjoy this piece from Ken Nordine. Try to listen more than once so you get the message. Not that I am preaching or anything.

  1. fistula spume says I feel flattered. Love me some "Flesh". I used to have those Incredibly Strange Music cd's but someone stole them years ago. Have you heard the "Songs in the Key of Z" albums or Arf Arf's "Only in America" series? Those are just as good. I don't try to be eclectic. I'm just drawn that way. :)

  2. I am says Can't say I have ever heard of Arf Arf. As to being eclectic, I like to be prepared for +every+ musical contingency.
