I am a notorious insomniac. I would explain it but Doug Stanhope says it better (except the drunk part) I completely identify.*WARNING* get rid of the kids before watching this video. It contains BAAAAAAD words. Yeah, the Carnival, being almost 40, 1 am, 2 am and here I am.

  1. Jaguwar says *ROFL* thanks for the vid, that was hysterical! sounds like me, too. Not the drunk part, that tends to kick the Carnival into high gear. :)

  9. dachmo says Love the Doug Stanhope, especially what he did for Showtime that's been on cable recently. Also really liked the Joe Rogan special too, a little asinine at first but he gets a lot better.

  10. Groon says Gettin' to this Carnival late, I am. Still trying to catch up from being gone, but I wanted to comment. Not only was that true, but I can add my voice as a chronic insomniac as well. I finally figured out my solution, though . . . I now live in a constant state of sleep deprivation, tired and miserable all day until night time, when I wake up again and try to fall asleep. I heard about an experiment once where a large number of people basically lived for several weeks in a place with no indicators of time, no clocks, no windows, etc etc, to see what sort of pattern they would fall into. Most fell into a pattern of around 24 hours, but a significant number of people naturally fell into a 28 hour pattern instead. Thought that was interesting, and could explain my problems . . . always wished I could have a couple more hours in my day before I went to bed.
