Fate is an undeniable force that controls my entire luck-infested life!!!! so the arcade fire had five show in nyc this past week, i'm sure some of you were there. so i decided to take my chances on getting a ticket to the sold out saturday night show. my friend and i waited in line for about three hours with no idea of whether or not we would be allowed into the venue. we were part of the last six people to be allowed into the show.(random twist of fate #1 because we showed up to the venue a lot earlier than planned) so we get into the church and decide that we have to go to the bathroom before the band comes on so we go down these stairs that lead to the bathroom. as we're leaving we hear music so we rush to the stairs only to find that we are now in the middle of the arcade fire playing their instruments as they walk into the show. so we walk into the show as if we're actually playing with the band and i'm probably on the DVD they were taping. eventually the cellist tapped me and told me 'you're going to have to get out of the way.....' and they all pretty much laughed at me but it was the most incredible amazing evening. they played so many powerful songs and had a stage presence like no other.. .it was purely magical. it made my soul swell. i don't know how i fuckin' do this every time, but i come out of a concert with a crazy ass story and now i can say i was in the arcade fire for like two minutes.Rock On!!
