What a barritone, what a joyous joy filled album of joy. Ok, so I find Black Candy to be second best to You Turn me On. The funny thing is, this post is a result of me listening to Jens Lekman. I wore this album out when I was 15. I played it for my girlfriends, I idolized that voice, the moodiness.. Just listening to it made me feel so much cooler than I actually was. Well I'd been disconnected from new music for a week, while on vacation. I had "Kafka on the Shore" with me though. It wasn't the first book I had read by Murakami, but it's my new favorite. This album has become a huge part of my rotation. It's songs like "Into the Nada" that define what a summer song is, to me. After listening for a bit, I had a strong sudden urge for Sebadoh. I think vocally there are some similarities. So yeah, Sebadoh likeness = highest honor from me. Starting with "Crashing Waves", "Dragon Song", or "Into the Nada" wouldn't be a bad thing.

I love this commercial, if only all advertising were this entertaining I might watch more television. As a friend of mine pointed out "It doubles as an Ad for Crystal Meth, or something".
