One of the things that I like best about music is that I tend to associate certain artists or albums with certain seasons. For example, Get Born by Jet always reminds me of winter and Taking Back Sunday always reminds me of spring and summer time. And so I'm looking for new music (i.e. music that I don't already have) to be my "soundtrack" for this summer.

I think it'll be interesting to discover what I wind up listening to over the summer. This summer will be the epitome of bittersweet: I've just graduated high school. This is the summer of freedom and also the summer where I must say goodbye to all the friends I've made over the past 12 years. The music I listen to always reflects the mood I'm in, and what I'm listening to must reflect happiness, sadness, anger, and fun all at once.

So the search begins. Lately I've been attracted to indie soundtracks (Garden State, Juno) and Saves The Day. I'm also thinking of buying some Disney movie soundtracks (The Lion King and Aladdin, specifically). I'm also going to investigate Death Cab for Cutie and Weezer, because they've been highly reccomended to me and I don't have nearly enough of their stuff.

If only buying music didn't cost so much monies...
