Wired Wednesday: Kaltes Klares Wasser

So, this is my first contribution to Wired Wednesday (on other places on MOG called New Wave Wednesday). As I have not idea of New Wave, Wired Wednesday will go more into Elektro, Elektropop, Elektroclash and the like. As since maybe two years Electro producers at least in Germany are even coqueting with house music and other genres of electronica it will be nearly impossible to draw a straight line. 
Todays featured group is Chicks on Speed (CoS), which is seen by some as band and by other as performance art act. The chicks met during their art studies in Munich at the Academy of Fine Arts and became popular relatively fast amongst certain people at the end of the last century - I was obviously one of them without even realizing that. At least the first of the songs below - Kaltes Klares Wasser (~ Cold Clear Water) - is known to me, since many years without that I knew the Chicks, and it's still one of my favorite songs of them due its simplicity and its mixture of German and English - some of the Chicks aren't Germans and their accent spelling this three words gives them a nice touch and is somehow sweet.Kaltes Klares WasserI've never been at any of their concerts or art events, but I read, that the public is usually split at bigger festivals, what results in urine bottles thrown at the stage and the like. If you have ever seen an music group of arts students live, this doen't surprise, as some deliberately go on your nerves by provoking you musically and/or visually, which seems to be part of the performance. In the case of the Chicks I cannot judge that. Anyway, I love some of their songs and hope, that some of you do or will too.
