WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Lalala (I Wanna Dance)

Posted 4 months ago
  • Artist:
    Nouvelle Vague feat. Julie Delpy
  • Track:
    Lalala

It has been a while since the last post. And I'm afraid It won't be a long post as it's quite late already. Just found this wonderful track via Youtube. One of my favourite actors cooperates with one of my favourite band.

"Lalala" is taken from the soundtrack of "2 Days in Paris" which I must admit not having seen so far.

It's quite a new style for Nouvelle Vague, which usually tend to do instrumental versions of famous songs of artists like The Clash, The Smiths or Billy Idol.

I kind of came to listen to The Clash via Nouvelle Vague and their brilliant cover of "Guns of Brixton".

Nouvelle Vague will be in London at the 16. of October in the Roundhouse in Camden Town.

I'd love to go there, but many artists of Ninja Tunes decided to invade London in October and November that I just have to see. But I'm heavily tempted and a final decision is not made yet.

Here's the video to the song - sadly without Julie.

Competely unrelated to Nouvelle Vague but heavily related to the "I Wanna Dance" theme:

Next weekend will the Klangbad-Festival take place again in Scheer.

Headliners are Alec Empire, Pram, Burnt Friedman and many > more. So if you're in the area, check it out, I'm going to volunteer again and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and music.

Hopefully I'll make it this time to write a little review.

I, too, want to dance -- like before there was a New World Order.

Great, snappy tune, Herr Hermes. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to go dig out a mini-skirt and tease my hair.

Someday I'm going to make it to Klangbad. Have a great time. We'll look forward to your report. :-)

LMI: Glad you like it. And a mini-skirt is never a bad idea, though the English girlies carry it too far at time ;). With the Klangbad festival, nobody knows how long it will go on. I hope forever. I'll definitvely have a great time and really should kick myself in the ass to write a review.

Mike: That's what I thought too. Delpy + Nouvelle Vague = Heaven.
